"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart."
In the fall of 2013, our story started when we signed up for the same photoshop class at our local community college. What began with "sooo what was the homework?" turned into working together on school projects, assisting with each other's family sessions and weddings, and finally merging our individual businesses into Dan and Tyler Photography. May 31st 2018 was THE best day of our lives, we got married! By 2019 we graduated from Cal State fullerton with degrees in art education and graphic design. After college we jumped with both feet into photography as a full time career and haven't looked back. Thanks to amazing clients like you, we're able to make a career out of our passion and do this full time.
Our team wouldn't be complete without our amazing second photographer and videographer, Emma. She's been helping us out since 2022 and primarily operates as our jack of all trades when you book us for photo and video. She's also our go-to second shooter for photo days when one of us is unable to attend your wedding. For the last two years Emma has learned our style from the ground up.
The newest member of our team, our daughter, Rylee, joined us August 28 2022. If you're lucky, you might find her making a guest appearance at weddings or family sessions. You can read more about our road to Rylee below.
Our mini Australian Shepherd
Our COVID puppy! In 2020 we moved to our new home which had a bit more room to grow so we decided it was time for a dog. Olive is our cute bundle of sassy joy. Training her, playing with her, photographing her, and managing her Instagram account (yup) has become our latest pastime and we absolutely love it! If you're a dog person, or heck, even if you're not, you should probably follow Olive on instagram because who doesn't love cute dog photos?
We believe Jesus lived the life we couldn't live & died the death we should have died.
This is a big one for us. Everything we do revolves around our relationship with Jesus Christ who we believe is the son of God. We believe Jesus died for us so that we could live a new life free from sin and ultimately, spend eternity in heaven with him.
Our faith in God stems from hearing the word of God and the love, mercy, and grace he pours out on us daily. This faith enables us to deny our selfish, prideful nature and instead live lives full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.
Our goal as Christians, is to run our business in a way that glorifies God more than ourselves. Therefore, we aim to love and serve our clients in ways that we ourselves would want to be loved and served.
If you're looking for a new church or just want to hear more about this, we'd love for you to join us in person or online at our local church, Compass Bible Church Huntington Beach.
"And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
